I became involved with Susan G. Komen approximately 5 years ago when my husband and I participated in the walk held yearly by Komen Maryland. It was such a moving experience, that I was hooked! I am now a team captain of one of the top teams in Maryland. I work hard for Komen because I know the money we raise is well spent. It has helped friends with no insurance and provided knowledge to those who were not aware of statistics and logistics of the association and the disease. We need everyone to fight the battle of ending breast cancer forever! Go Team!
